Marvel Minimates Wave 45: Iron Man MK7 and The Hulk 2-pack

I'd like to say Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I know I've been gone for a LONG time but school life is always a hassle I'll probably be posting like 2-3 reviews and *poof* I'll be gone again only to return with more reviews.

Iron Man 3 is almost upon us and with wave 49 coming up any Minimate collector can't help but be excited. So in celebration of the upcoming movie I give you a review of the latest movie-mate of Iron Man and his Green chum!

PACKAGING
Packaging is the new expanded window which gives you a better view of the characters and accessories. On the left and right you have control art of each character and on the back you have the rest of the characters in the wave.

THE FIGURES
Iron Man MK7

"Tony Stark built his firtst suit of armor in a cave, out of salvaged missile parts. He has since upgraded his armor numerous times, using his scientific genius and personal fortune to create the most advanced piece of technology on the planet. The MK7 model is the one he uses as a member of the Avengers."

At least he used it in the first Avengers movie. I wonder what he'll use for Avengers 2? Besides the point, DST has done a great job recreating the armor from the movie.

The whole figure is entirely brand spanking new. His vest, his gloves, legs, belt, and boots are newly sculpted. However, his arms are reused from War Machine from the Iron Man 2 Wave. The boots don't fit too well on the lego pegs. Mostly because the holes are nearing the tip of the bottom of the boots. His paint job is stellar. He has a blue eyes and a reactor and the signature hot-rod paint job. He also has a bit of silver on the legs.

Sadly my figure has one issue. With the helmet jammed onto the head so long the red paint from the helmet has applied itself to the head. Making the Tony underneath look like a kid painted all over his face.

For accessories Tony has an open face plate helmet, a hairpiece and a yellow take off stand.

Score: 9/10

Overall Thoughts: I know he deserves a 10 but the red paint issue ruined it for me.

Hulk

"When a scientific experiment went wrong, scientist Bruce Banner was dosed with gamma radiation, triggering an uncontrollable transformation whenever he became stressed or angry. After years on the run from the U.S. military, Banner was tracked down and recruited to the Avengers Initiative."

Animation caught up with the hulk in the Avengers movie. Minimates caught up with the hulk in Wave 41. Now the only thing that need to catch up w/ the Hulk is the military.

We've seen numerous Hulks in the past but none can compare to this one. He is one of the very few Hulks that was properly "bulked up." His thigh pieces have the ripped effect on them and his hair is very very messy. He has crotch extender piece which gives him added height. He has a bare chest underneath and he has a bored face. DST gave most of the movie Avengers dull expressions. Hulk also has open hands.

For accessories he has a angry face. Sadly mine came with a smudge.

Score: 10/10

Overall Thoughts: He is SMASHING!!!
