Marvel vs Capcom 3 Minimate Wave 2: Spider-Man and Chris Redfield

When Doctor Doom and Wesker decide to combine the Capcom and Marvel universes they wake up a huge, and I emphasize huge, threat: Galactus. Now the heroes and villains will clash to save the new Universe. But in this pack however it's a clash between hero and hero.

PACKAGING
Packaging is the new expanded window. It allows you to view the two characters along with their respective accessories. On the left and right sides you have control art of the two characters and on the back are the other figures available for MvC Wave 2 along with mini-bios for both Spider-Man and Chris Redfield

THE FIGURES
Spider-Man
"While attending a science exhibit, young Peter   Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider, this granted him special abilities, and he became the hero Spider-Man. When his uncle was killed by a criminal he had let go, Peter swore to live life by the creed of 'With great power come great responsibility.'"

As a new collector this is my first classic Spidey and I am quite impressed. He is simple but highly detailed. Although, his detail is only present in front and does not reach to the back of the figure. His feet can fit nicely on the lego pegs and there is no sign of paint bleeding. Until I made my figure look up. Spidey's neck was red until I moved it's head revealing some blue paint. Oh, well.
Spidey comes with two accessories a weird display stand and some webbing. I put the webbing in his hand it fits pretty well, but when I removed it some of the inner hand paint was removed. Snap. Oh, well still nothing to worry about. The display stand has a peg on it so it's easier to display Spidey or any 'mate at all for that matter.

Conclusion: Some pretty good detailing and some good accessories. Im quite unsatisfied with how Spidey's detailing doesn't reach all the way to the back though, and how easily the paint came off, but what can you do right?

Score: 8/10

Chris Redfield
"Ever since the Raccoon City Incident, in which most of the population was transformed into zombies, Chris has been fighting continuouslyagainst the spread of bioterrorism. He helped usher in the dissolution if the Umbrella Corporation and now searches for his missing partner, Jill."

I can't believe it. They made a Chris Redfield. Though I'm no fan of the movies or games I was quite happy to see him be Minimated.

So here we have Chris Redfield from the Resident Evil game series. I have to say this guy was my main draw for buying the pack. He looks awesome, the detailing reaches the back he also has a newly sculpted gray belt with a pouch on it. His hair is a new sculpt and it also has a communicator so he can talk to back-up or some other person. He's also wearing a vest (reuse of Capt. America's only with a smaller peg) you can use to peg on a knife, more on that later. He wears a holster in his right leg, and he also wears some painted on knee armor things. On his shoulders you have the B.S.A.A. logo.

He has a ton of accessories: a shotgun, a huge revolver, a handgun, a peg-on knife and a display stand. His shotgun is a new sculpt and a very good one at that. His handgun is also new and it fits in it's holster. His peg-on knife can be pegged on to his vest and he can also hold it, sadly you can't remove the knife from it's sheath. His revolver is huge and I don't know why, it can fit in his hand, but just barely. It cannot fit into his holster son the only gun that can fit is the handgun I mentioned earlier.

Conclusion: A top of the line figure. He has fantastic detail. We have some awesome new sculpted pieces. I am especially liking the shotgun. Keep up the good work DST!
