Marvel Minimates Wave 45: Iron Man MK7 and The Hulk 2-pack

I'd like to say Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I know I've been gone for a LONG time but school life is always a hassle I'll probably be posting like 2-3 reviews and *poof* I'll be gone again only to return with more reviews.

Iron Man 3 is almost upon us and with wave 49 coming up any Minimate collector can't help but be excited. So in celebration of the upcoming movie I give you a review of the latest movie-mate of Iron Man and his Green chum!

Marvel Minimates Wave 39: Loki and Odin 2-pack

If you ask me out of all the Avengers solo movies Thor was by far the worst. It was kind of rushed due to   the fact that everyone was dying for an Avengers movie in 2012 and all they needed were Cap and Thor to make the movie come true. The movie was alright but can the Minimates do any better?

Marvel Minimates Wave 42: Beta Ray Bill and Armored Thor 2-Pack

Wave 42 was a more thor-centric wave which introduced some characters that weren't really done before. Like Arnim Zola, Beta Ray Bill, and Eric Masterson. Sadly, this was the only one left in my comic shop when I went there. Meh, I present to you the review.

Loose Minimates: Wave 9 Blade and Street Fight 4-pack Shin Akuma

Okay, let's face it we all need to save money for whatever we buy. Loose Minimates are examples of this. So today I present to you a Minmates review of loose proportions.

Packaging
The Minimates were in resealable plastic bags when I bought them.

Marvel vs Capcom 3 Wave 1: Dante and Deadpool

When Doctor Doom and Wesker decide to combine the Capcom and Marvel universes they wake up a huge, and I emphasize huge, threat: Galactus. Now the heroes and villains will clash to save the new Universe. But in this pack however it's a clash between hero and anti-hero.

PACKAGING
Packaging is the new expanded window. It allows you to view the two characters along with their respective accessories. On the left and right sides you have control art of the two characters and on the back are the other figures available for MvC Wave 1 along with mini-bios for both Deadpool and Dante.

New York Comic Con 2011 Exclusive 4-pack: The Deadpool Corps

You've heard of the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the Defenders and all those other super-hero teams. But can they all match up to the cunning or insanity of the merry band of misfits known as the Deapool Corps?!?

PACKAGING
Packaging is your standard  minimate 4 pack packaging. There are 4 separate windows that display each character. You also have a vibrant red backdrop. And it also looks like Deadpool taped his picture above Spidey's. On the left and right sides you have control art for each character. And on the back we have a group shot accompanied by 4 mini bios of each character. Honestly this is some really good packaging seeing as we have some red explosions going on! Okay enough with the box lets reviews some figures!

THE FIGURES
Deadpool
"Wade Wilson, the merc with a mouth, is good at three things: violence, not dying and being a bit funny in the head. So, when he was found to be the only one immune to the conscious-destroying Awareness, he had to team up with his alternate-reality counterparts to form...The Deadpool Corps!

We've had lots of Deadpools in the past but this is the only Deadpool, I'm in two minds about. Firstly the negatives: though Deadpool shows no hair in any comic I've seen he has a hole on top of his head for a hair piece. Secondly, the lack of holsters. He comes with two guns which have small holes in each meaning you can, supposedly, peg them on to something. Sadly you cant peg them on to anything at all.

Okay enough with the negatives lets look at the positives. Deadpool is painted bright red and has arm and wrist and leg bands. He comes with two sheaths for his katanas, which are connected to his dimension-jumping suit. Which is new sculpted piece. He has great detailing on his chest that are covered by the suit. His articulation is not hindered and he can fully articulate. For accessories Deadpool comes with two katanas and two SMGs. he also wears his signature Deadpool belt.

Conclusion: A great figure with a fantastic new piece. I just wish they had holsters for the SMGs.
Score: 8/10

Championpool
"Champion, born shortly after the Big Bang, the Champion has fought thousands of aliens, mastering every form of combat in the galaxy and has become virtually unbeatable, so when he found out that the rag-tag Deadpool Corps was going to save the universe, he wanted in."

For the first time(and probably last) we have a Championpool or Champion as Deadpool. However his bio doesn't stay true to the actual story. He actually wanted to test the Corps' mettle but after the battle he was offered by Deadpool to become leader. Leading to him wearing that ridiculous looking costume.

Championpool has pale skin showing and he also wears arm, wrist and leg bands. He wears a Deadpool belt and he also has a powerhouse chest piece with some fantastic detail. Just look at the abs he has! Underneath, he has a plain black chest with no detailing at all. His face shows his mouth area very well and he also has a new sculpted hair piece. It is a red ponytail.

Championpool comes with two accessories. A pair of katanas with some great detailing.

Conclusion: A new character with some fantastic detailing. I'm loving his chest piece and his katanas. Nice ponytail too.

Score: 10/10

Kidpool
"On Earth-10330, young Wade Wilson was a student at the Xavier Orphanage for troubled boys along with young versions of Cyclops and Wolverine. Recruited by our Deadpool to save the universe, he brought along a pair of energy swords he stole from his reality's Danger Room"

Kidpool is a younger version of Deadpool, isn't it amazing how young you can be to join Weapon X? Kidpool looks at first glance the same height as other minimates but he is not.

Kidpool uses Minimate slippers meaning he can't fit on lego pegs. His legs are also shorter than most, 'mates thus making it seem more and more like he's kid sized. He wears a Deadpool belt and shirt, he also wears arm, wrist and leg bands. Along with that he wears a scarf which is a reuse of another figure, I think. Also, he has a hair piece hole but I've never seen him show any hair. Kidpool's articulation is not hindered except for his head which can move up and down due to the scarf.

For accessories he comes with two energy swords. Which are new sculpts. They are yellow green with silver hilts. Some very good detailing too. If ever DST get the right to make star wars 'mates these swords will probably be the first choice for the lightsabers.

Conclusion: Kidpool is great figure with a good set of accessories. I'm glad they made him look shorter to make him seem like an actual kid, although with him wearing those slippers it gonna be heard to pose him on lego pegs.

Score: 9/10

Lady Deadpool
"An alternate-reality Deadpool from Earth-3010, Wanda was a rebel, fighting against a fascist American government spearheaded
by Gen. America. In addition, to Deadpool's slippery brain, she aslo possesses his deadly abilities with pretty much any weapon known to man."

So this is our Lady Deadpool figure huh? She looks pretty plain. Also some people may ask how to differenciate her from the other corps members I think that's a bit obvious guys. ;)

Lady Deadpool wears a Deadpool belt along with a wrist, arm and leg bands. Sadly with mine she only came with one wrist band. Oh well it's not like it changes anything too much. She has the same hair piece as Championpool only painted blond. Her articulation is not hindered by anything at all and she's fully poseable.

For accessories she comes with a katanas and two SMGs. Sadly still no holsters.

Conclusion: Lady Deadpool is a good and meh kind of figure. Sadly there is still a lack of holsters, which hurts the figure only slightly

Score: 7/10*

*Plain and tall and no holsters, really DST? Really?

Headpool
"Headpool is a disembodied Deadpool from the Marvel Zombies Universe."

Though he may be an accesory he does deserve his own review. So, Headpool is a minimate head with a propeller on his head that allows him to fly. He also comes with a flight stand.

Conclusion: Not a figure but a decent accessory to add to the team.
